Medjugorje (between the hills) has become well known in Bosnia-Hercegovina, and the world, because of six young people who have seen visions of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Beginning on June 24, 1981, the Blessed Mother appeared to, and later told the visionaries, God sent her to our world to help us convert our hearts and lives back to Him.

Our Lady's call is one of Peace, Love, Faith, Conversion, Prayer, and Fasting. We are each challenged to answer Our Lady's call to change our lives, and hearts back to God.

On June 24, 1981, young Mirjana Dragicevic and Ivanka Ivankovic reported seeing an apparition of the Virgin Mary in a village in what is now Bosnia-Herzegovina. The following day another vision was reported, this time also by four other young people: Marija Pavlovic, Jakov Colo, Vicka Ivankovic, and Ivan Dragicevic.

For several years the six visionaries reported seeing daily apparitions from the Virgin Mary and Medjugorje became crowded with pilgrims. It has been reported that Our Lady of Medjugorje has been appearing daily to three of these visionaries ever since.

In the ground floor of Villa Ivona is a large air- conditioned restaurant with 120 seats. The restaurant offers various Herzegovinian dishes or meals that pilgrims want themselves. With meal you can enjoy the excellent wines of Herzegovina.

Pilgrims have the option of using the kitchen with a restaurant, which is separated from the main restaurant.

Villa Ivona has 50 rooms that can accommodate a group of 120 pilgrims.

Each of our 1, 2, 3 and 4 bed rooms is equipped with bathroom. For families we offer luxurious apartment with air conditioning, for 4 people.
